Living a See Through Life

WHAT ON EARTH DOES THAT MEAN?

Who wants to live a SEE through life?
What is this TRANSPARENCY business all about?
Who benefits?
What is this saying?
What would life be like if we were all TRANSPARENT?

Why do we feel so uncomfortable at the thought of living a SEE through life?
Why do we live so guarded and protected?
Why do we want to hide?
What is it that we want to hide?

When I was advised to buy a ‘time capsule’ for my work, I realised that absolutely everything that I had on my computer was going to be recorded and stored in this thing.

Every bit of information was being clocked and there is no chance of erasing it.

This blog was inspired after considering life where everything is see through – in other words it is all out in the open and nothing is ever hidden.

So what would life be like if we KNOW every single thing is recorded and we cannot get away from that fact?

So let us put this to our life –

How does it really feel to KNOW absolutely everything we think, say or do is being recorded?
What is it that we would do or not do if this was true?
How would we behave if we felt this happening?

What does it mean to us to KNOW that everything is logged, tracked and registered?
What if we are accountable for all our thoughts, expressions and actions?
How would it feel if we knew that we are not really getting away with anything?

What would we start to change if we knew our actions and thoughts cannot be erased?

Would we start to take RESPONSIBILITY for how we live our life, if we knew it was being recorded?

Would we pay attention if we knew our life was all recorded and cannot be erased?

Consider having every single thought recorded in our ‘time capsule’, which holds enough data for our entire lifetime.

Consider every private moment where we think nobody knows what we are up to but actually it is being clocked and you cannot erase it.

What IF the ‘time capsule’ does not take a day off in the calendar just because it is your birthday?

What IF the ‘time capsule’ just does its job and you cannot buy your way out of it?

What IF the ‘time capsule’ takes note of all your thoughts, what you say and what you do?

What IF the ‘time capsule’ does not judge or have any opinion – it just is?

Is this scary or what?
What IF this is true?

What IF we don’t have to be scared of anything being recorded?
What IF this is not about living a clean goody goody perfect life?

What IF this is simply about taking RESPONSIBILITY for the choices we are making?
What IF this is about being accountable for ALL of our choices?
What IF this is about making mistakes, learning and moving on?
What IF this is about making sure we live same same in all areas of our lives?

What IF living a life that is SEE THROUGH is easy, simple and real?

What IF the time capsule knows you have made the mistake BUT it also records that you have changed by making another choice?

What IF the new choices support your evolution?

Could it be possible that to live a SEE THROUGH LIFE is what we all want deep down?

Our world today ACCEPTS anything we think say or do unless it is against the law.
It is only then that we are held accountable for our actions.

What IF the time capsule benefits all of humanity?
What IF the time capsule gets you thinking about the footprint you leave?
What IF the time capsule supports you to be more aware?
What IF the time capsule helps you to not poison the world with ugly stuff?
What IF the time capsule is about taking RESPONSIBILITY in a real way?
What IF the time capsule is saying that it is about ALL areas of our lives?
What IF the time capsule is not about perfection or getting it right?

This time capsule business sure makes us stop and think about how on earth we are living.

Before we press the send on a text or email – would it be wise to stop and pause and ask – would we send this if we knew it was being recorded in our time capsule and it cannot be erased?

Could it be possible that if we have nothing to hide and are on our way to TRUTH then we will love what is being presented here?

Could it be possible LIVING A SEE THROUGH LIFE supports our evolution?

Could it be possible that if we lived like a baby who simply moves by impulse and not anything in their head, we too can be open and transparent as adults?

  1. Whenever I am not being truthful in an interaction with a person, it has an effect on me. Even if it is a tiny thing that I think I can get away with. Deep down I know that it is wrong.

If I consider that everything that I do or think has an effect on everything, which it does, then it creates an enormous Responsibility to live my life the the best way that I can, and also to ask
“How can I live my life with more Responsibility?”

Simple-Living Global is presenting a way of living that has supported me to take more Responsibility in my life.
This has not only changed my life – it has helped other people to take take more responsibility in there lives. This is how we change our world.

    1. You are right Ken about the fact that we do know when we are not being truthfull with another even if it is a small thing. Deep down we all know the clear and distinct difference between right and wrong. Truth and not Truth.
This word RESPONSIBILITY keeps coming up weaving through like a thread on this website in most of the blogs.
Lets get real, most if not all of us have a past and have not done things that we know were not the truth. ‘So what’ we could say.
What we know is that we cannot erase our past but we can make a difference now that leaves a new imprint that does not harm us or others. Step by step making new choices with RESPONSIBILITY confirms change and that means evolution. We get to move on from whatever it was that we know was not Truth.

  2. After feeling unsafe and judged in first & second grade I developed a ‘sneaky wanting to hide’ feeling. I developed a compulsive reaction of trying to cover up mistakes or anything others might judge as silly or bad.

Even very little things could make me feel very bad; I realize that I was in constant judgement of myself.

As I work on seeing things as ‘learnings’ and bringing understandings to ‘why’ I chose something I then don’t feel good about afterward, I know I am taking responsibility and this removes the anxiety around my ‘mistakes/learnings’.

As the author says here it is about knowing I am accountable for everything I think, do and express.

It is empowering to have nothing to hide; even my less than perfect aspects can be seen/known and as long as I am devoted to working on being loving and truthful I know I am contributing something valuable even as I learn and grow in this way.

    1. What is interesting about your comment Jo is how young we are when we start a behaviour pattern that is crushing us to say the least. We stop being real and truthful to ourselves because of the fear of others judging us. Feeling bad about anything and everything becomes our ‘norm’ as in your case.
It is very empowering to be accountable for your thoughts, what you do and how you express in every way. It knocks out blame and brings in that word most of us don’t really like RESPONSIBILITY.
Our world would benefit greatly if more of us start to live this word and not just in some areas but make effort to bring it to all areas of our life.

      1. Crushing indeed. Fear of judgement growing up was a big thing for me and had an enduring effect.

I can see how the blame comes in, too – I would prefer anyone and anything got the blame so I could hide and feel better about my own actions/intentions.

I’m finding it takes honesty, humility and understanding to look to yourself first and take responsibility, but it’s absolutely worth it. For example, our dishwasher door is broken and it would be easy to blame the person who was using it when it broke or the kids for ‘playing’ with it. But if I’m honest, not one of us in the house has been consistently gentle with that door, including me so then the fact of the broken door becomes a learning for all of us. It’s then a question not of who did what, but it’s about what we are going to do next – how are we going to be responsible with our movements and care for our home more deeply?

  3. I love the playful way that this article reminds me that absolutely every choice we make leaves a foot print. I absolutely know this about my own choices because whenever I pay attention I find that I can feel the after taste in my body, I can tell if it was a loving choice or not. And I know this is also true for others because not only can I feel the impact of the choices people make around me, but I notice at times I am even aware that there is an inconsistency going on e.g. I may hear something but also get a sense of an opposite message which is not so obvious to my regular 5 senses.
So every one of my choices can be felt and makes its mark. Wow this is a level of responsibility most of us find difficult to face, especially if like me you have had years of seeing any mistake as a sign of not being worthy or enough. Yet this article also beautifully points out that rather than it being about avoiding mistakes, it is about the choice of being accountable and responsible, and to lovingly learn from the mistake and move on. That is what counts. Mistakes do not need to be hidden. We can be open and see-through with them and all of us can in this way also learn from one another. How lovely is that.

    1. Thank You Golnaz as this is another comment talking about the permission we can give ourself when we make a mistake to see it as a learning and move on.
What this article is really saying is that we are accountable for what we put out into this world – as you call it a ‘foot print’.
This brings in a level of RESPONSIBILITY ‘most of us find difficult to face’ as you say.

But what if we just start with one small step and get consistent with that before we commit to something else. For example, we know we are super exhausted and edgy most of the time and our caffeine and sugar levels are high. So we could make a choice of going to bed early and working on that by making it more and more consistent until we get to the stage where it is not negotiable. In other words our body is so strong and almost talks back to us and says “bed now” and you put that before any other night time nonsense that was part of your past.
You would feel more steady, less racy and more open to ‘whats next’. You may even notice you are craving less sugar and caffeine and feel to introduce home cooked food into your diet.
This is how the Back to Basics Program presents. Slow steps so you can build a true sound foundation.

    2. That is beautiful Golnaz; “Mistakes do not need to be hidden. We can be open and see-through with them and all of us can in this way also learn from one another. ”

Just imagine raising children, living this way as an example of how to learn and grow. It is from ‘mistakes’ that we can learn so much if we are open and gentle with ourselves about it.

Instead of destroying myself (self abusing from inside), over every little thing I can choose to be a good friend to myself and just learn. A night and day different way.

  4. The feeling I have reading this blog is of freedom: freedom from blame, freedom from judgement, freedom from seeing mistakes as failure, freedom from yesterday’s choices. The possibility that the only thing that matters is what you choose next is incredible. It means there’s no need for a big project plan for your life or an unattainable picture of what good looks like. It can simply be about ‘what’s next’. Simply that: what choice will I make next?… and the invitation for that to be a choice in responsibility.

    1. Great JS that you can feel the freedom that this blog is presenting. It says so what if mistakes are made – time to let go of whatever you are holding onto in the form of images and pictures, call it ideals and beliefs all coming from your head. Time to get on with it now and it is the new choices that will knock out the past nonsense. We all know we can’t change our past but we can stamp it out with new stuff that is coming from RESPONSIBILITY.
The new way means we don’t have to concern ourselves because we know we are living with the integrity and responsibility now that is not harming ourself or others to the best of our ability. It is never ever about perfection, trying to get it right or any other nonsense like that. It is simply making choices from this moment onwards that we know are coming from our Truth.

  5. Making mistakes is part of life as our life is about learning.
This is what supports our evolution but somewhere along the line we think about perfection and have pictures and images of how we want to be and when we stuff up we either give up, hide or beat ourselves up and all this stops us evolving in truth.

These pictures that are all in our head also gives rise to an incongruence.
In other words where we want to be, which is the image we carry is not actually where we are in real life living.
This ‘gap’ so to speak disturbs us and this can be the start of ill mental health as our view of life changes and we feel exhausted and overwhelmed and have no idea where to start to make the steps for real change.

There is plenty out there but little that truly support us to get to the root issue and move forward, in other words truly evolve.

  6. What IF this is about being accountable for ALL of our choices?” If we are accountable for ALL of our choices then there is no need for blame, no need to make excuses, no need for regret. We simply take responsibility for what we have chosen and then with tenderness and love towards ourselves we can make more loving choices. This way accountability becomes fun and a deeply loving process.

    1. Great point you make here Elizabeth of how we need to have a different approach with accountability. We tend to cut slack for children so why not for us?
WHY do we need to get the stick out and be hard on ourself at anytime?
Our body hardens when we criticise, blame another or whatever it is we are doing to avoid taking full responsibility for our ugly choices that may have consequences we don’t like. So from lived experience, I can say that we can choose to see it as a learning and we are all learning.
If we bang on about it, stay in the stress and reaction of it or keep the drama going then we can be sure nothing is going to change. In others words there is no real evolution.
It starts with being gentle and caring and loving towards ourself in everyday first and foremost and then we can develop that approach for when things go belly up and we make a boo boo. I say its high time to look at what happened, dig a bit deeper than usual and ask the WHY questions. Keep asking and this is where change happens fast.

  7. I was working on a carpentry project and I made a mistake. In the past I would have just fixed it and moved on. But because I had I good relationship with my client , I chose to tell her about it.

The conversation was amazing. We talked about how both of us try to hide our mistakes and why we did it. And how a mistake could be a wonderful thing if we are open to seeing it differently.

This “mistake” allowed us to deepen our friendship and heal some old hurts about “doing things wrong”.

If I can bE open when things happen and not judge them, it creates an opportunity for magic to happen!

  8. Another great blog Simple Living Global.

I feel if people took the time to read this blog it will make them wriggle and worm, this is exposure of the real kind for man kind.

How would the world be if we had absolute transparency? Corruption, poverty, lies, food industry and many other things will be out in the open. It can only be done with the important decision to be responsible and be seen.

I felt to share one personal experience I kept hidden (there are more to be outed), crying in front of staff members with the fear that I would be considered weak. It was interesting how on two separate occasions both staff responded in the same way, quick to hug me and yet underneath it felt they wanted to stop me crying in fear their own mountain of hurts would emerge from deep within.

I still have more to reveal but my time capsule can record I am changing by making another choice – It is never too late to take that first step to responsibility.

  9. To not be judged or judge myself for the choices I make certainly allows me to feel it’s ok to make mistakes, then I can learn from them and choose to make different ones. I get to see things on a larger scale that as you say all my choices effect Humanity. I love the clarity the time capsule brings to this understanding.

  10. How transparent are our businesses when they put tiny tiny print to tell us where their meat is from but the logo and famous brand tells us it is British.
Is it any wonder we have people making so much noise that it ends up in the media as a hot story saying the meat is from the Far East.
WHY are we not upfront in disclosing something like this?
Are we really getting away with anything?
Is this what breeds distrust amongst consumers?
Does this tar everyone with the same brush – like all businesses are up to this when in Truth they are not?
WHO benefits and who stands to gain from this type of business?
If we took money out of the equation – what would our businesses be doing?
Would EQUALITY UNITY BROTHERHOOD RESPONSIBILITY INTEGRITY
be lived and this would be the see through life of a future business?

  11. Great blog Simple Living Global on what could possibly be the ultimate form of responsibility and accountability.

How many times have we done things because we know no-one is watching and we know we can get away with it?

I am not talking about committing a criminal offence but ‘small’ things like:

Throwing litter on the floor or out of the car window
Leaving the shopping trolley other than in the designated places
Taking stationery from work because “it’s a big company and they can afford it”
Leaving communal tasks for someone else because we cant be bothered to do it
Having certain thoughts about someone and then saying something completely different to that person

There are plenty of examples like these, that, if every thing we do say or think, was kept on file for all time, I am sure we would think twice about doing or saying something.

And what IF, everything that we do, say or think has a consequence?

What IF all of our thoughts and actions affected our lives in some way, good or bad?

And if we are open to re-incarnation, what IF our thoughts and actions in this life had an affect on our next lives?

Is this what is known as KARMA?

Is this not the ultimate form of RESPONSIBILITY and ACCOUNTABILITY?

  12. When I was growing up, there were many things that was told I needed to do. What I understand now from raising my own children is just telling them what they need to do, really does not work.

If I had understood as a child that everything that I do has an effect on me and the rest of humanity, I may have taken it more seriously.

Of course my parents did really understand why we needed to do all this stuff, so it was hard to really take them seriously.

This blog explains why living my life with integrity is so critical. How I live, has a huge effect on everyone in my life.

  13. We are born with a way of living truth that is totally natural. There are no thoughts of not speaking and living your life the way that feels right.

Somewhere along the way, we feel that it is ok or more important to ignore this feeling – that we have to live in a way that is a lie.

I have been understanding that I have been living my life, so I did not have to feel this devastation of giving up on what my whole body was telling me, is the only way to be.

It is the main reason why I have been exhausted most of my life.

With support from Simple Living Global, basically taking true care of myself, I am allowing myself to feel this devastation, which has uncovered this natural ability to just be myself.

This totally simple and obvious process has turned my life around.

The best thing I can do in this world is just be me! All of me!

  14. We now live in a world where digital information is very highly sought after by the criminal element and data breaches are becoming easy targets

I recently read an article about a well-known taxi app firm that was facing investigation by governments around the world following the revelations that it concealed a massive data breach last year.

Some 57 million customers and drivers had their personal information compromised in October 2016, but rather than report the security breach, this company paid the hackers $100,000 to destroy the data and keep quiet about the hack.

Is it possible that a massive breach like this was never going to be contained?

Throughout history there have always been scandals and revelations that have come out about companies and people on a regular basis but in the last two to three years, the revelations of wrongdoing, greed, corruption, abuse, seems to have taken on a new level…Why is that?

Are companies and individuals making more mistakes?

Is the digital age making it easier for people to find out things?

Are we becoming more aware of what is going on under our noses?

    Or is there something else?

Why is so much that is not truth, being exposed?

Is it possible that the laws of the universe are working so much faster now?

Is it possible that anything we do that is not transparent will be exposed?

This company chose not to live a see through life but to make itself more important than its customers and drivers.

When we choose to not live a see through life, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

  15. I cannot say that I live a completely see through life as sometimes I know there are things that I feel uncomfortable about and don’t say.

Also I notice that there are times when I could be more open and not defensive and that defence puts up a barrier, even if it is for a split second between me and another.

I know a number of people that do live a see through life and although you don’t know the details about their life, they are ‘see through’ in the sense that they are not hiding any of themselves in emotions like shame and guilt or trying to keep away from people. They are just open in their expression and interaction with others.

I know that this has a very positive affect on me as I find it refreshing and I always feel inspired when I notice this. I also feel at ease with a sense that this person is not going to hurt me.

Imagine the ripple effect if we all lived a see through life?

  16. An article in the Daily Mail, 27th January 2018, asks: “Did banned meat firm lie about steaks’ use-by dates?”

It appears that not only has the meat firm been lying about its sell-by dates, but the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the official body that is responsible for the food safety and food hygiene across the UK, has been forced to deny a ‘cover up’ after being accused of keeping the public in the dark.

The FSA waited twelve days before raising the alert over ‘serious noncompliance’ with hygiene regulations it found at the meat firm.

The FSA’s chief executive denied keeping the public in the dark. He told Radio 4’s World at One: “The FSA has taken proportionate action.”

Asked why the FSA had delayed halting all production at this meat firm and starting a product recall, he blamed the company saying: “Clearly if the company doesn’t decide to voluntarily recall, then we can take steps.”

The Unison union, which represents food plant inspectors, suggested mislabelled or unfit meat may have been going to restaurants, schools and care homes for months.

The union said: “This appalling discovery was made on an unannounced visit. The previous inspection had been about a year before that.”

The alert began on January 12th when the FSA made an unannounced inspection of the company factory. The inquiry then spread to its other factories.

A worker at one of the sites told the Daily Mail; “I was advised just in case to start looking for a job. My manager said just to be safe, it was better to have a job to go to, than none.”

The meat company embroiled in this scandal has not yet explained the issues to the public. Its website has been taken down and its phones go unanswered. In its only statement, the firm has said the FSA’s actions came as a ‘serious shock’.

It may be obvious as to why this company, or any other company for that matter, would not be so transparent in their business dealings if they were in financial difficulties, but what is not so clear are the reasons why the FSA, the body that is supposed to protect the consumer from incidences like this, took so long to issue an alert.

If the FSA can take steps, as they say they can, why didn’t they take the steps to recall the suspected meat?

Why did the FSA wait so long?

The last inspection of this meat company was nearly a year ago.

Why is there such a long gap between inspections?

If it is common practice to leave inspections so far apart, is it possible that companies will be inclined to relax their standards?

This discovery was made from an unannounced inspection.

Does this imply that inspections are generally announced?

If they are generally announced, is it possible then, that no announced inspection can be fully transparent?

The meat company concerned, which used to hold a Royal Warrant and supplied pubs and restaurants across Britain, will now probably face closure with the loss of many jobs, possible financial penalties and the loss of its reputation and dignity.

Whether it’s a meat company allegedly abusing its use-by date policies, the FSA not acting appropriately or any other business or person doing something that they know they shouldn’t do – is it possible, that if we are not Living a See Through Life, there will always come a point when our lack of transparency will be exposed?

  17. On the bus to Brixton in London there is now a camera screen that shows you what is happening in the bus.

It is in the middle of the bus for all to see.

This is obviously a culmination of all the bad stuff that has happened on buses over the years. The camera brings safety. And transparency.

    I could feel the impact.

You are no longer unseen. Or rather you can no longer think you are.

It is a stark reminder of where we are as a society. The result of us not living a see through life.

Pausing to reflect on the fact that we need these cameras.

And the fact that we need not just the cameras but the live footage on a screen, as a reminder and a warning we are being recorded.

It makes me think we are in control of how much surveillance there is. When we are all walking the walk of responsibility again, we won’t need it.

  18. The Week – Issue 1177 dated 26 May 2018

Just read a respected Harvard biologist has already conducted tests on mice and now working on dogs – tweaking their genetic make-up to increase lifespans.

In mice, it has involved blocking a protein that acts as a “master switch” in the process by which heart valve thicken.

$20 billion a year spend on vet bills in USA

The idea of course is to fund human trials but the direction of the company’s research is being kept secret.

So what exactly is going on here?
WHY IS THIS not open and transparent – in other words see through?

    SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT

Science seems to always like the mice and rats studies and now this one is dogs, which we know are so like humans in many ways.

So who is this really for and what is the real true purpose here?

Are we going to evolve as a race of beings on earth if we tamper with our genetic make up?

Are we imposing on our dogs because we want something from them?
In other words we have our needs for them to survive longer than their natural age?

What if dogs have a natural life cycle and man getting involved harms them as a species in their own evolution?

Is adding this type of age defeating genetic treatment to the market one day the answer for us?

    Are we missing something important?

Are we missing the fact that we as humans have a natural cycle of life and to interfere with that does not support us to evolve?

Are we supporting this type of research because it suits us, as we want more time on earth to continue with our irresponsible way of living?

What if we took a moment to put our understanding hat on and just apply some common sense to what is being said in this comment?

Does it make sense to block a protein inside us that is doing a job of a “master switch”?

The fact that it is being called a ‘master switch’ speaks volumes.

To the average jo on the street – could it mean this switch is important as the master knows its job inside out as it has done it and lived it?

What right do we have to tamper with that natural master who obviously has an intelligence far grander than our human mind as it is part of the complex human body that works like clockwork, until we do something to it?

I say it is high time we started asking more questions and not just accepting what we read in the news, about what science is up to with the latest discovery.

  19. The Telegraph today reported a news story about two police officers who have been jailed for using cocaine.

It is a serious story and one that we cannot judge, but look at the circumstances as to why a married police officer who routinely smokes cannabis off duty then goes to a cocaine dealer and starts an affair with another police officer, who was previously in a very physically abusive relationship, which required extensive surgeries to the face, following the injuries.

So how does something like this affect the local community?

How does this impact on the trust element, that we associate with the police?

How many other police staff are getting away with drugs off duty?

Next – do we need to look at the bigger picture here and ask some questions?

How does a system operate and where in the infrastructure is there space for those who need true support?

In this case, something was not right that led to excess cocaine consumption which became addictive.

Their choices have led to a prison sentence, loss of job and possibly friends and colleagues disassociating from them, which can and will lead to more problems long term.

If we re-read this blog – where is the Transparency, the open-ness in our daily communications that brings a level of integrity that would not allow any ill behaviour?

Have we lost our moral compass inside us, because we no longer value being so open, honest and vulnerable when we are in pain or in some form of trouble?

Do we expect police officers and those in similar jobs to show us the way or can we, the general citizens be role models too?

Is this a RESPONSIBILITY thing where we all need to get real and absolutely honest in how we are choosing to live everyday, so we never end up in the news headlines for taking drugs or any other reason that ends with going to prison?

  20. Has anyone heard of bots?

Internet bots are web robots who run automated tasks over the Internet.

There are companies who use bots to create fake accounts online and simulate interactions. How companies interact online is known as engagement which is a key metric to evaluate influencers. People then buy followers from these ‘fake’ accounts.

So in reality what this means is people are making it look like they have lots of followers and online engagement but in fact they don’t, as the people they appear to be engaging with do not exist as they come from fake accounts.

What has happened to transparency, living a see through life and being honest about who we are and where our business is at?

Why do we feel the need to change and in effect lie and manipulate so that we can prove to the outside world that we are doing great as we have lots of people following us?

Are the numbers of followers that we have really a measure of success and why does more equal better when being open and transparent would actually inspire trust and enable people to genuinely interact with us because they can feel our integrity?

Why have we dropped our standards personally and in business to accept falseness as the norm?

  21. CNN – 12 September 2018

The Pope has summoned Catholic officials to discuss the escalating sexual abuse scandal that has plagued the church. It will take place in February 2019.

A 900-page investigative report released last month by a grand jury in Pennsylvania found more than 300 priests had sexually abused more than 1,000 children in six dioceses since 1947, often while church leaders covered up the crimes.

The film “Spotlight” brought much of this into the spotlight – pun intended, so we the general public can be aware of what has been going on in the name of religion.

Of course we all know the catholic church is a huge organisation and are above the law, so it may answer why nothing has been done until now, even if it has been going on for over 70 years.

Do we blame or do we start to ask real questions?

How did it get to this point?

How has the catholic church got away with it for so long and why?

It is easy for us to just sit back and point fingers, or see it as a sensationalist media story, but do we ever bring things back to us as individuals?

Have we considered if we are living a see through life?

Have we answered the questions that this blog is presenting?

Do we each have a responsibility to our fellow brothers on earth when it comes to the word Integrity?

What does that mean to us on the street – the general public?

How consistent are we with our daily integrity?

Are there holes – pockets where we don’t care and do not have that high standard?

Are we in some way not living with the absolute integrity that we know we can?

What would happen if we ALL lived to the utmost integrity in every way in our daily life, without the need for perfection?

Would that then make LIVING A SEE THROUGH LIFE a standard?

In other words, Transparency would be just the normal regular way of being.

Front page headlines about the ingrained bullying at UK universities

An investigation by the Guardian found nearly 300 academics, including senior professors and laboratory directors, had been accused of bullying students and colleagues.

Some current and former academics spoke of aggressive behaviour, extreme pressure to deliver results and HR managers more concerned with avoiding bad publicity than protecting staff.

So how does bullying go unchecked and what happens to those who blow the whistle?

How long can our world look the other way and not acknowledge that this is going on?

How long can our universities desperately try and ‘damp things down’?

Why is there intense competition in universities and why are we subscribing to this game?

Some leading academics called for an end to the culture of secrecy around the issue.

Transparency is needed if any business is going to truly succeed and that means putting people before profit and/or anything else.

Living a see through life requires us to have the utmost integrity and this for many is not the case.

We seem to have lost our innate moral compass that knows what is true and what is not.

Is it a convenient truth that we subscribe to?

Does the intelligentsia of the day reign over us because we simply accept without question?

Are those who question conveniently dealt with or dismissed because the power allows that?

Who is wielding the power and who really benefits, if we are going to be honest here?

What is interesting is the damping down is not working as this has reached a front page national newspaper read by millions.

We all have a responsibility to live a life that is see through without any need for perfection.

This means we don’t hide or cover up stuff that we know is harmfull in any way.

It is only then that the tides will turn and more of these types of news stories will be known.

  23. Metro News – 11 October 2018

A loophole scheme for the super rich has allowed individuals to bring £3 billion of dirty money into the UK.

3,000 foreigners, many from ‘high corruption risk’ countries were allowed residency in exchange for £2 million investment.

Transparency International UK – anti corruption campaigners claimed that the Home Office and Banks assumed for 7 years that the other had checked whether the wealth was acquired legitimately.

Reading this blog we know it serves us well to live a see through life and yet we are way off the marker of this and this story is just one, highlighting how people get through the loophole.

We can sit and blame or we can ponder on how corrupt is our world really?

If money was not the currency of the day – what would happen to our world?

Has anyone dared ask or consider that question?

Our moral compass when it comes to money is not always strong and consistent and most would say they act and behave in unusual ways when money is at stake.

We judge those who make millions and continue doing so in corrupt ways but we just accept it and continue with life.

Who gains in the end and is there such a thing as ‘getting away with it’?

Do we hate the word ‘karma’ or don’t want to know about the laws of the universe if there was such a law about cause and effect?
    https://simplelivingglobal.com/karma-karma/

At what point do we want personal responsibility and accountability?

Is this what is the missing ingredient in life that will get us all back on track?

Sounds a bit way off and whacky probably for most readers, but is this a question we will all want to ask in the future?

  24. I get what you are saying Simone about the goody goody life and trying to live squeaky clean. How many of us, if we are honest could nod and say we have tried this one?

That image of getting it right and trying actually exhausts us because we keep wanting the perfect life, but what if we traded that nonsense for a real life and as you say this blog spells it out for us – learning all the time and moving on.

What a relief and what a great way to no longer be hard, judgemental or critical with ourselves.

This is certainly the case for me and the bonus is we tend to give ourselves space and that means we can do the same for others and not expect them to be or do anything.

Knocking out those pictures we hold about this, that and everything to do with life would be a wise move for all of us, as it leaves us in a state of being that is way off from our natural way. I hope this makes sense to whoever is reading this.

This website is about real education and another way to live that not only supports us as individuals but also everything and everyone else.

Popular clothing brands have been accused of buying cheap clothes, stitching their own labels over the top and reselling them at a higher price.

WHY would any retailer be doing this?
Can we go straight to the obvious – money | profits

So who on earth in the business would do this and how are they living in their private life?

What if we read this blog and took note of what is being presented?

Does it scare us or worry us if every single thing we do is being recorded?

Are we concerned about being exposed that we are conducting our business in a way that is clearly not ethical or responsible?

Do we feel accountable for the ways we behave or are we thinking we are getting away with it?
    https://simplelivingglobal.com/getting-away-with-it/

Will the law catch up with us one day or will we carry on with our ill behaviour as long as we can, in the hope we won’t get caught?

Finally – if we took all money/profits out of the equation, would we still be doing this type of wrong doing or would we not bother as money is the motivating factor?

What if Living a see through life, to the best of our ability has real value and benefits?

How many of us are willing to accept this as a possibility and how many of us prefer to not even go there as it’s way too much in the Responsibility department?

  26. We have people in television who get famous on a TV show and then branch out to do a series of something that the public may be interested in.

We hear about them through all the marketing that pumps out stuff and makes out to us that these people are so called experts in the field they are presenting on.

    Really?

A newspaper article on 6 June 2020 exposes a famous face who up until now was getting away with it because the TV show has experts at hand and behind the scenes who do the actual job, so the face who makes out they know it all and do it all is Not the Truth.

This presenter is as many are ‘working from home’ and this means no assistants to make them look good on the show with their impeccable skills that are not there in the first place. Winging it has not worked because they have been exposed that in truth they do not know how to do the job they tell the world they can do.

Yes they know a few things and theory and memory recall help out, but film them alone with no props so to speak – in the raw, transparent and they have miserably failed.

How many of us live in this way? Winging it because we think we are getting away with it?

How many of us are far away from living a life that walks the talk?

    https://simplelivingglobal.com/walk-the-talk/

In other words we do the empty words out there but we do not live an ounce of what we are saying.

    https://simplelivingglobal.com/true-action-or-empty-words/

What if those who watch these types of shows, (where they think they are getting an expert showing them for example, how to stitch and make crafts) are not able to really get the learning because the person presenting is not living what they are saying?

In other words, they are not walking the talk and people do feel that on some level and so they move on to the next show and the next as there are no real teachings going on or real role models presenting what they live and so it leaves the viewer seeking for something else out there.

The point is if we have TV show presenters with millions of viewers – is there a Responsibility element that needs to be factored in when we come up with these new creations – shows that look like we can learn but there is no master presenting?

A master of course being one that has lived day in and day out what they are presenting and let’s say at least a decade. That way we the public, the ones watching the show would just know and feel that they are the real deal. WHY? Because they would speak with authority as they know what they are presenting to us is not made up, winging it, theory or memory recall talking.

Being transparent means being upfront and honest. So if we live a see through life there is no need to try it on or pretend. We just say it as it is and we hide nothing because it is all there – all aspects of our life with nothing to declare.

  27. NOTE – For the Record
This news story has been posted as a comment on our Drug blog.
However, it also serves to be posted on this blog – Living a See Through Life

    NBC News – 10 December 2021

A former DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agent was sentenced to federal prison for conspiring to launder money with a cartel in Columbia.

The U.S. narcotics agent admitted to his crimes and blamed former colleagues at the DEA for fostering a culture of corruption that desensitised him to the implications of violating the law.

His attorney states that “when my client joined the DEA, he was schooled in how to be corrupt and how to break the law. In this alternative universe it became easier and less suspect to accept money and gifts from criminal informants who worked with the U.S. premier narcotics agency”.

The U.S. District Court Judge expressed disgust with the failings of the DEA and said other agents corrupted by “the allure of easy money” also needed to be investigated.

Judge Charlene Honeywell said “this has to stop and it is apparent to this court that there are others too”.

Whilst this is a “shocking breach of the public’s trust” it is well worth noting the responsibility handed to agents that work for the DEA to combat international drug trafficking –
    • Government’s use of front companies
    • Shell bank accounts and couriers

Do we know what really goes on and how much transparency is needed if we are ever to know the real truth?

How many would abuse their badge when handling confidential informers who move tens of millions of dollars of dirty money, every year under the DEA’s supervision?

The DEA has had repeated cases of misconduct, including agents charged with wire fraud, bribery and selling firearms to drug traffickers.

This agent was authorised to handle sensitive financial transactions, despite failing a polygraph exam, declaring bankruptcy and having close ties to a suspected money launderer, who was godfather to his children with his Columbian wife.

He pleaded guilty to 19 federal counts. His lifestyle was described as luxury as he bankrolled $9 million that he and his co-conspirators diverted from undercover money laundering investigations.

Is this enough red flags to suspect a work colleague?
Is everyone at the DEA asleep or turning a blind eye?
Has this been going on for a long time but only just come to light?

Does anyone take note if they know someone working as a narcotics agent (for the government) has a $767,000 sports car and a home in the Caribbean?

Do agents get caught up in wanting and seeking what the drug lords have, in terms of material and financial wealth?

Does something take over and the person changes and loses their moral compass, integrity and responsibility?

When this agent was sentenced he addressed the court saying the biggest punishment was not being able to explain to his young children why he was going away for a long time and that he became a federal law enforcement agent 20 years ago with a sense of pride.

“Unfortunately, there came a time when I made a decision that went against the person who I was, that damaged my wife and embarrassed my country. I should have know better and I didn’t. I failed.”

Will this statement change anything for those caught in the game or lured by what this drug world can offer in terms of security – more money, better house, bigger car, jewels and the rest…?

    How do we fall?
How do we ever come back from such a fall?
Does time locked up inside a prison change us?

This agent tells us he went against the person who he was and there was a time and there was a decision. In other words a choice was made and this jail sentence is the end result. He was stopped and so we all ought to be asking these questions –

    WAS IT WORTH IT?
    And AT WHAT COST?

Do we really buy it that those that are involved in any aspect of the drug industry sleep without any tension and are deeply settled OR do they have an eternal unrest that never seems to go away?

Does it not pay well to have a body that does not live in the daily un-settlement, simply by making choices that keep us TRANSPARENT – in other words, living a see through life?

Take note this blog is speaking to ALL of us and is well worth a few reads dear reader.
