What on earth do these 2 words mean?
Can we relate to what Checking Out is?
Are we aware that we could be ‘Checking Out’?
Do we realise the consequences of ‘Checking Out’?
For many of us ‘checking out’ may be so normal that we have no clue what happens to us in those moments.
For some it could be dipping in and out of the ‘checking out’ behaviours that have become so familiar.
Others might champion the ‘checking out’ way of operating in life as it allows us to indulge in our fantasy world.
There may be some that prefer the ‘checking out’ status as it gives relief and comfort from everyday life responsibilities.
Being aware of when we are ‘checking out’ during our day would indicate what is going on for us and it may not just be a relief but a gap where anything could happen.
Case examples –
Phone Call – we make out we are listening but we went into our ‘checking out’ way of operating as that’s our standard norm and have no idea what the other person just said.
Home – ‘checking out’ instead of focusing on the task in hand leads to a momentum that continues outside the home…
Work – we could say we are super focused at work and then without realising or having any awareness, we are in ‘checking out’ mode and something happens and we simply cannot answer how on earth that happened – could be minor or super serious.
Driving the Car – we convince ourselves that we are so ON with our attention to detail and alertness but we find that there are many moments of ‘checking out’ where we cannot even remember what happened.
At the Supermarket – we place items in the trolley in our ‘checking out’ state, pay at the tills and never know what went out of the bank account as we never bother to check.
On the Streets – something happens and yet we are in our ‘checking out’ mode of operating and it just misses us like it was happening on another sphere/planet and not under our nose.
At the Diner – we like to hang out with others but we did our usual ‘checking out’ scrolling on our Screens and forget there are others on our table being Ignored.
Doctors Surgery – our name gets called and we seem to be there in a body but we are vacant – not registering that the loud speaker is saying our name.
At the Hospital – we have got our earphones blasting sounds to support our ‘checking out’ with zero awareness that our name has been repeatedly called and we never heard it once.
Eating Food – we got this habit of ‘checking out’ eating our home delivery Junk Foods in front of the TV and not realising how much we scoffed down in no time at all.
What if we found a Simple way to not have those ‘gap’ moments when we are literally hijacked, as we have no clue what is going on and it is like something enters and takes over?
Bit like driving in auto mode but you are not the driver.
Something is driving your vehicle and it is not you – while you take a vacation and that something else does whatever it wants. It has no regard for you or anyone else.
This website offers the opportunity to ALL of Humanity to seal those gaps and end the ‘checking out’ way of living.
Checking out is harmfull and not just to us. Those steps taken away from our inner-most can end up causing more problems than we may have considered.
What if we just lock in Simple Living where we have Focus, concentration and attendance to the task in hand and that means being fully present with our every movement – without perfection and this is what can support our true Health and Well-Being?
